The Role
We’re searching for an experienced process operator to join our team at our cutting-edge wastewater treatment facility in Tilmanstone near Dover. Reporting to the Alpheus Operations Manager, you will work as a team of three onsite and be responsible for the successful delivery of operational tasks associated with the compliant management of the wastewater treatment facility. Your role will support the achievement of regulatory, financial, environmental and customer performance targets associated with the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver proactive routine and non-routine mechanical and electrical services to the WWTP
- Operate and optimise day-to-day plant processes, including monitoring, sampling, and adjustments.
- Work within a small onsite team and with the wider Alpheus technical and management teams to help produce daily and monthly reports as required.
- Build excellent customer relationships, ensuring excellent value and benefit is delivered to our clients
- Work closely with your site supervisor, onsite team colleagues, and our wider technical and management teams, sharing responsibility for the continued development and optimisation of the facility
- Monitor and understand the plants performance and act swiftly to ensure the plant is well maintained and available at all times
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs in a timely manner
- Participate in our ‘out of hours’ emergency standby rota, attending call outs in a timely manner and proactively carrying out repairs to ensure compliance is maintained.
What We’re Looking For:
- We’re seeking a hardworking, proactive, self-motivated individual
- Electrical or Mechanical qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience working to asset management plans and in controlled H&S environments (Desirable).
- Knowledge of wastewater operations or industrial processing plants (Desirable).
- Skills and experience in the maintenance and repairs of a wide range of pumping and filtration technologies.
- An advocate of safety standards, committed to creating a culture of safety excellence.
- Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and contribute improvement ideas.
