About the role:
As part of the Strategic Supply Integration (SSI) Team that is embedded within the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA), you will work with SPA, @One and local Anglian Water Operational teams to successfully deliver the major Capital Delivery projects related to the Water Resource Management Plan (WRMP). As a core member of the AW Alliances delivery teams you will be responsible for solution development through to construction and commissioning; ensuring delivery of SPA and @One projects do not cause adverse customer, environmental or operational impacts through effective risk management. You will be a subject matter expert on operational business activities and the lead person engaging with operational management teams to enable successful delivery of capital projects whilst minimising impact and risk to the AW business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a core member of the Solution, Design & Delivery Teams, representing SSI, AW and commissioning integration.
- Support AW asset owners and construction teams as the first level of assurance that proposed designs will be safe to operate and maintain.
- Lead on the development of system commissioning strategies and project alignment to ensure successful integration into existing asset base.
- Work with the Process Engineers, Commissioning and Delivery teams in the development of commissioning plans, handover criteria and commissioning activities.
- Lead on identifying and resolving capital delivery project conflicts with the AW and Alliance partners to minimise operational and delivery programme risk across the AMP period.
- Enable strong collaboration by fostering positive stakeholder relationships between Water Services, capital partners, the wider business and external stakeholders, including water industry regulators.
- Invest into the Interface Engineers so that they can excel in their roles and provide great value to the business, whilst also enabling them to achieve their personal aims and goals.
Essential skills and experience:
- You should be qualified at a higher educational, preferably degree level, in a construction/engineering/science subject or relevant subject.
- Possess a strong knowledge of Water Operations and Systems, with a technical understanding of water operational processes and assets.
- Previous experience of working in a site construction environment.
- The ability to work with people from different partner company backgrounds and disciplines, utilising their knowledge and experience.
- Have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Proven IT skills.
