Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Lead CAD/BIM Revit Engineer (non-Infra) to support and enhance our project delivery team.
What will you be doing as our new Lead CAD/BIM Revit Engineer (non-Infra)
You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, coordination, and quality assurance of Revit-based Non-Infra models on SPA projects. You will drive consistency across Revit models using set naming, shared coordinates, parameters, and attribute structures; providing Revit technical guidance to designers and engineering leads. You will mentor BIM Engineers and champion consistent, efficient modelling across disciplines using BIM applications Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks. Work within the Programme Common Data Environments (CDE) consisting of Autodesk Forma, SharePoint, and the SPA GIS platform.
Key responsibilities
Lead the development of MEP, process, civils Non-Infra, and structural Revit models.
Approve model geometry, metadata, and model maturity progression.
Create and maintain Revit families, schedules, templates, and discipline libraries.
Conduct technical reviews on models produced by others before issue.
Lead Non-Infra modelling work allocation and planning across multiple work packages.
Own and maintain Non-Infra Revit modelling procedures, ensuring compliance across the team.
Manage Revit model QA/QC, including model audits, clash resolution, and quality gates.
Proactively identify modelling risks and escalation/mitigation early.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours
Demonstrable experience leading Revit modelling on complex water/wastewater or process engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of Revit MEP, Revit Structures, Process Plant modelling, and multi-disciplinary interfaces.
Proficiency in model federation, clash detection, and model validation.
Experience in progressive assurance and digital delivery compliance.
The ability to train/mentor junior BIM Engineers.
Experience producing/maintaining Revit standards, templates, symbols, families, shared parameter files.
