Lead Park Ranger – Grafham Water
Full Time, Permanent – Salary from £35,000 per annum. Work shift patterns vary with longer days in spring/summer and shorter days in autumn and winter.
About the Role
Grafham Water, a stunning 1,500‑acre reservoir and visitor attraction, is looking for a practical, hands‑on Lead Ranger to join our team. This rare opportunity blends team leadership with active fieldwork – from maintaining facilities and delivering high‑quality visitor experiences to supporting our renowned fishery.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: supervise and work alongside the Ranger team to keep the park safe, clean, operational and well‑presented.
- Carry out and record health and safety checks, inspections and maintenance tasks.
- Hands‑on operations: repair and service facilities, groundskeeping, cleaning and boat maintenance; keep equipment and tools in good working order.
- Customer engagement: welcome and assist visitors and anglers, answer questions and ensure a great experience.
- Support events and activities: prepare and deliver park events, set up, logistical support and on‑the‑day assistance.
- Work closely with management to deliver high standards across the park.
Qualifications & Skills
- Full, valid driving licence.

- Enjoys physical work outdoors in all seasons.
