Lead Park Ranger at Grafham Water – Permanent / Full Time / from £35,000 per annum. This role does work shift patterns, with longer days during the spring/summer months and shorter days over the autumn and winter months.
At the heart of Grafham Water’s success, Grafham Water, a stunning 1,500‑acre reservoir and visitor attraction, is looking for a practical, hands‑on Lead Ranger to join our team. This rare opportunity blends team leadership with active fieldwork – from maintaining facilities and delivering high‑quality visitor experiences to supporting our renowned fishery.
What the role entails
- Team Leadership: Supervise and work alongside the Ranger team to keep Grafham Water safe, clean, operational, and well‑presented. Carry out and record health and safety checks, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Hands‑on operations: Help with everything from repairing and servicing facilities to groundskeeping, cleaning, and boat maintenance. Keep equipment and tools in good working order.
- Customer engagement: Welcome and assist visitors and anglers on‑site, answering questions and ensuring they have a great experience. Promote the Anglian Water brand and all our water parks.
- Support events and activities: Prepare and deliver park events, including setting up, practical logistics, and on‑the‑day support.
- Teamwork: Work closely with management to deliver high standard across the park.
Requirements
- Hold a full, valid driving licence.

- Enjoy physical work, outdoors in all seasons.
