Serving Smiles and Refreshments, join the adventures at the Park Cafes at Grafham Water. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Café Cook to join our team! You will be joining at an extremely exciting time, as we embark on a transformational redevelopment of our park cafes at Grafham Water.

As a Café Cook, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for our visitors. Whether it's serving up deliciously prepared meals, fresh snacks, barista coffee, or keeping our cafés clean and inviting, you'll be the friendly face that helps make their day.

As Grafham Water is operational 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year (excluding Christmas Day), you will need to be flexible to work across peak seasons, major events within the calendar and step in to help across multiple cafes where needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • The preparation of food and ensuring quality standards are met
  • Maintaining high levels of hygiene, food safety, and compliance
  • Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
  • Driving efficiency and enhancing the overall customer experience
  • Supporting the Café Supervisor with leading and training the team
  • Proactive in maintaining a clean and safe environment, ensuring a welcoming space for all visitors
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible with shifts

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role
  • Great teamwork skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Flexibility to work weekends and Bank Holidays
