Are you someone who is passionate about electrical and mechanical engineering and takes pride in a safety first and efficient approach to your work and environment? You’ll work to contribute to the maintenance of our calm and stable water network. In this rewarding role, you’ll help us achieve our company goals in reducing leakage, interruptions to supply, costs and continuing to improve our service to our customers.

This is a hands-on engineering role, you’ll undertake infrastructure installation and maintenance work, carrying out planned and reactive work, investigating faults and promoting remedial work on a variety of our flowmeters. All with the aim to improve the performance and efficiency of assets and activities within the treated water network across the region.

In this vital role, you’ll join the devoted Water Services team, working alongside wider Anglian Water and Contractor teams. Help us in our mission in making our drinking water among the best on the planet!

What does it take to be an Enhanced Maintenance Technician?

  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills
  • Must have electrical engineering skills with technical background to NVQ2 or equivalent complemented with:
    • BTEC certificate (or equivalent) in an electrical subject
    • C&G parts 1 and/or 2 in electrical engineering, J557 mechanical to electrical conversion validated certificate
    • Mechanical to electrical conversion
  • Ability to work alone
  • Able to undertake logical problem solving and data interpretation
  • Ideally, an understanding and knowledge of water operational activities i.e., valve operations, data logging, metering processes and hydraulics
