  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, managing conflicting requirements and constructively challenging proposed solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in business analysis methods, templates, tools and professional practice
  • Ensure excellent engagement with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points and the problems to be solved
  • Ensure functional, non-functional, technical, organisational and operational requirements are captured, validated, prioritised and clearly documented
  • Bridge the gap between business teams and technical delivery, ensuring SAP configuration and system development meet agreed requirements
  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, role profiles and authorisations for system-enabled change
  • Support testing, deployment, end-user training and business readiness activities across major programmes

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive business analysis experience within complex, large-scale business transformation and IT-enabled change
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ECC6 and/or SAP S/4HANA environments
  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing a team of Business Analysts
  • Extensive experience of requirements gathering, analysis, solution assessment and validation, process mapping and business readiness
  • Strong prioritisation and decision-making capability, with the ability to manage resources across multiple competing programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management experience at senior level, with confidence influencing programme and project leadership
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements
  • Excellent questioning, facilitation, communication and documentation skills
  • Experience working across Agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, testing and deployment activities
  • Innovative and analytical approach, with strong root-cause problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • International Institute of Business Analysis certification, such as CCBA or CBAP
  • Experience of business process re-engineering and enterprise process architecture
  • Project or programme management qualification, such as MSP, APM or PRINCE2
  • Knowledge of water utilities or another regulated, asset-intensive environment
  • Understanding of IT applications, infrastructure, corporate data models and data management requirements
