The Lead Maintenance Engineer will play a pivotal role in the oversight and delivery of critical maintenance activities, with a particular focus on process safety critical tasks. The role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive maintenance programme across designated sites, including time-based, condition-based, and performance based interventions through the local maintenance teams and designated framework contractors, while driving improvements that reduce asset downtime and increase asset availability.
You will also play a key role in aligning planned work with local shutdowns to improve efficiency in the delivery of planned, condition-based, and performance-based maintenance activities. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses strong communication skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of teams.
Ensure all safety critical equipment maintenance activities are completed on time and in line with compliance requirements.
- Possess a NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent in a relevant maintenance discipline is essential
- Proven practical experience of fault finding and improvement of mechanical and electrical assets through Planned Preventative Maintenance and strong Root Cause Analysis skills
- Good understanding of Contractor management and MOC policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Water Recycling processes and associated Health and Safety requirements knowledge is essential
- Experience using various IT programmes including SAP, IRIS and Power BI
- Flexible approach to work as the sites operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Ability to work autonomously
