Role Summary:
This role is an office‑based position at Isleham Water Treatment Works. It supports operational teams with administration and procurement, ensuring smooth office operations and water supply management.
Your main duties will include:
- Ordering chemicals, PPE, equipment and materials for the supply team
- Managing invoices, delivery notes, and credit card reconciliation
- Raising and issuing purchase orders
- Telephone call handling
- Meeting room management
- Occasional minute taking
- Updating employee training
- Organising electronic and paper filing systems
Other responsibilities:
- Support the management team with day‑to‑day tasks and requests from the supply team
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and customers, providing high‑standard customer service
What does it take to be an Operational Administrator?
You will have experience as an administrator, ideally within a similar operational industry. You must possess excellent organisational and communication skills, be proactive, IT literate and advanced user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. You should have strong numeracy skills, experience with data handling and spreadsheet preparation, attention to detail.
