The predicted salary is between 40000 - 40000 £ per year.

Salary and Working Hours: Circa £40,000; Permanent, Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (5‑week rolling shift pattern including bank holiday, weekend and on‑call working).

Base Location: On‑site, Irvine, North Ayrshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out proactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs on WWTP assets and infrastructure.
  • Operate the plant and complete basic laboratory testing, including set‑point review and adjustment, sampling and analysis.
  • Follow asset management plans, adhering to set procedures in a controlled health and safety environment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permit requirements and revenue‑generating streams, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture and support a safe, supportive working environment for colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with a close‑knit shift team to maintain high operational standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within wastewater operations or industrial processing.
  • Relevant electrical, mechanical or instrument qualifications (City and Guilds / (S)NVQ).
  • Experience with laboratory testing is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with asset management plans and the ability to follow set procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
  • Flexible attitude toward working shifts, weekends and an on‑call rotation.
  • Team player able to adapt to change, challenge and a proactive, positive approach.
  • Good IT and customer service skills.
