Grafham Water, a stunning 1,500-acre reservoir and visitor attraction, is looking for a practical, hands-on Ranger to join our team. This opportunity blends teamwork with active fieldwork - from maintaining facilities and delivering high-quality visitor experiences to supporting our renowned fishery.

As a Park Ranger, you'll work alongside the team in all weather - repairing, cleaning, patrolling, checking, and problem-solving - while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the site to the highest standard. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and solving practical challenges, then this role is for you.

What the role entails
  • Team Work: Work alongside the Ranger team to keep Grafham Water safe, clean, operational, and well-presented. Carry out and record health and safety checks, inspections, and maintenance tasks. Work closely with management to deliver high standards across the park.
  • Hands-on operations: Help with everything from repairing and servicing facilities to groundskeeping, cleaning, and boat maintenance. Keep equipment and tools in good working order.
  • Customer engagement: Welcome and assist visitors and anglers on-site, answering questions and ensuring they have a great experience. Promote the Anglian Water brand and all our water parks.
  • Support events and activities: Prepare and deliver park events, including setting up, practical logistics, and on-the-day support.
We're looking for someone who:
  • Holds a full, valid driving licence.
  • Is passionate about Grafham Water and everything the park has to offer.
  • Enjoys physical work outdoors in all seasons.
  • Brings strong hands-on maintenance and practical skills (e.g. fencing, repairs, facilities upkeep).
  • Is a solution-focused problem solver.
  • Has basic IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Is customer-focused with a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Can work flexibly, tackling varied jobs each day.
