Location & Hours: Bedford. Full‑time, permanent. Typical days: Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑16:00, with flexibility to adjust start and finish times. Standby and occasional weekend duties are required and paid accordingly.

Role Overview: Water Recycling is central to our operations. As a Process Operator you will maintain and service our water recycling plants, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain assets including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flow meters, compressors, and more
  • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance, such as lubrication of equipment
  • Carry out process sampling, monitor performance, and report any issues
  • Adhere to company safety policies and maintain good housekeeping standards
  • Explore ways to reduce energy consumption while maintaining compliance
  • Work within confined spaces and at heights, complying with harness weight limits (≤113kg) and occupational health checks

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Background in a process environment (advantage but not essential)
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Competence with IT systems
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, quick learning, and initiative
  • Excellent team player, proactive, with interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Good communication, flexibility, and reliability
