We’re currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Field Service Engineer / Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team in a diverse and hands-on role. This position offers a mix of on-site breakdown work and workshop-based responsibilities, including carrying out warranty repairs and pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new equipment. You’ll be working with a modern fleet of machinery such as excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, crushers, screeners, and welfare units.
Key Duties
- Responding to breakdowns and completing repairs on-site
- Servicing and maintaining a range of plant machinery
- Fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Completing warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Carrying out PDI checks on new equipment
- Assisting within the workshop when required
- Accurately recording work completed using digital systems
- Providing a high standard of service to customers
About You
- Previous experience in plant maintenance or a similar engineering role
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Flexible, proactive, and reliable approach
- Good communication and basic IT skills
