Anglian Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Aluminium Window Fitter / Window Repair Operativeto work on a commercial refurbishment project in Deeside.

This is a specialist remedial position working on existing commercial aluminium window systems, so we are looking for somebody with previous experience in window installation, servicing, maintenance or repairs.

Duties will include

  • Refurbishment and servicing of existing aluminium windows
  • Removing existing draught seals and draught-proofing
  • Installing new EPDM/silicone draught seals
  • Removing and replacing window restrictors
  • Checking window handles, stays and associated hardware
  • Carrying out minor repairs and adjustments
  • Making good existing fixing holes
  • Removing excess mastic and old sealant
  • Resealing around double-glazed units where required
  • Cleaning and preparing aluminium frames ready for re-spraying
  • Ensuring windows remain fully operational following remedial works

The project includes work to centre-pivot, top-hung sash and fixed aluminium windows.

We are looking for someone with

  • Previous commercial aluminium window fitting or repair experience
  • Experience servicing and maintaining existing window systems
  • Good knowledge of window seals, restrictors, stays and hardware
  • Competent silicone/mastic and sealing skills
  • Ability to work independently and carry out remedial works to a high standard
  • Own tools and PPE
  • CSCS card desirable / subject to site requirements
  • Reliable and able to commit to the full project duration

This would suit an experienced Aluminium Window Fitter, Window Service Engineer, Window Repair Technician, Glazing Maintenance Operative or Commercial Window Fitter.

Approximately 4-5 weeks' work with a start expected in around 2 weeks.
