We are currently seeking multiple experienced Steel Fixers for a contract project based in Lowestoft, starting 5th May 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled tradespeople looking for consistent work over a 3-4 month period, with a negotiable rate depending on experience.
Role Overview
As a Steel Fixer, you will be responsible for positioning and securing steel reinforcement bars (rebar) and mesh used in concrete structures on a busy construction site. You will play a key role in ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and bending schedules
- Cutting, bending, and fixing steel bars and mesh
- Installing reinforcement in foundations, beams, columns, and slabs
- Tying rebar using wire, clips, or welding equipment
- Ensuring all work is completed to safety and quality standards
- Working collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (essential)
