About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable Skilled Labourer based in Norwich/ Thetford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company with a strong pipeline of projects across East Anglia. This role initially starts on a temporary basis; however, for the right candidate who proves themselves, there is a clear pathway to a permanent position within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with a wide range of construction and site duties
- Supporting tradespeople on-site (carpenters, bricklayers, groundworkers, etc.)
- Carrying out general skilled labouring tasks to a high standard
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Transporting materials and equipment between sites when required
- Taking initiative and working independently when needed
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
- Proven experience as a skilled labourer within the construction industry
- Valid CSCS card (preferred/essential depending on client requirements)
- Strong understanding of site health & safety practices
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools confidently
- Good physical fitness and a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to travel to various sites across East Anglia
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in general building
- Previous experience working on residential or commercial projects
- Any additional tickets or certifications (e.g. PASMA, IPAF) would be advantageous
