Are you a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor looking to accelerate your commercial career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Norfolk’s housing developers, renowned for delivering high-quality homes. The Opportunity
Working alongside an experienced Senior MQS, you will support the commercial function on new-build housing developments across the region. You’ll be involved from early cost planning stages right through to handover and final accounts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with procurement, tender enquiries, and subcontractor comparisons
- Preparing take-offs, measurements, and BOQs
- Supporting monthly valuations, payment applications, and cost-reporting
- Assisting with CVRs, budget tracking, and financial control
- Managing and updating commercial documentation
- Liaising with Site Managers and assisting with variations and progress updates
- Building strong relationships with supply chain partners
This role offers excellent mentorship, and a clear pathway to Assistant QS and QS level.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is driven, detail-focused, and keen to build a long-term career within the residential sector. Ideal candidates will have:
- 1–3 years’ experience as a Junior QS / Assistant QS / Trainee QS
- Background in construction or residential development (preferred but not essential)
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or currently studying)
- Good communication, numeracy, and organisational skills
- Ambition to progress and take on more responsibility as you develop
