We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable and well-established construction contractor in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects.
The Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of a variety of construction projects, ranging from residential builds to commercial developments. You’ll be working closely with project teams to ensure accurate cost control, strong procurement processes, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing cost plans, estimates, tenders and valuations
- Managing budgets, cost reporting and financial forecasting
- Procurement of subcontractors and materials
- Monitoring project performance and profitability
- Managing variations, contractual documentation and final accounts
- Liaising with site teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction (residential, commercial, or general building)
- Strong knowledge of UK construction methods and commercial processes
- Excellent numeracy, commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Relevant qualification (Degree / HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying or similar)
