Anglian Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Hire Controller on behalf of a well-established and growing independent plant hire business based in Rackheath, Norfolk. The Role
The Hire Desk plays a key role within the business and is responsible for supporting customers with their hire requirements while coordinating internally to ensure a smooth and efficient service. This is a busy and varied position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Taking hire enquiries and processing orders
- Managing on hires and off hires
- Advising customers on suitable equipment
- Scheduling transport and coordinating deliveries/collections
- Liaising with drivers, suppliers, and internal departments
- Inputting quotes and hire information onto the CRM system
- Supporting fleet utilisation and identifying revenue opportunities
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards at all times
The Ideal Candidate
- Have previous experience within a hire desk, customer service, or coordination role
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Be confident communicating over the phone, via email, and face to face
- Work well under pressure within a busy office environment
- Have good IT skills including Word and Excel
- Ideally have experience within plant hire, construction, or a related sector (although this is not essential)
- Have a positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
What's On Offer
- £37,000 - £40,000 salary depending on experience
- Permanent, full-time position
- Immediate start available
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:30
- Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 - 12:00
- 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
