Anglian Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Site Manager to join a major long-term project at a medical centre in the Hampstead area of North London. This is a construction-focused Site Manager position; however, candidates will need a good working knowledge of M&E services and be comfortable coordinating construction activities alongside M&E contractors. The project is currently programmed to run until February 2028, offering excellent long-term security, with the potential for the successful candidate to move into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day construction activities on site
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors and trades
  • Monitoring programme, progress and quality of works
  • Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures
  • Attending and contributing to site and progress meetings
  • Client-facing liaison and communication
  • Coordinating construction works alongside M&E activities
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety
  • Managing works within a busy, live medical environment
  • Ensuring works are completed to programme and required quality standards

Requirements

  • Valid SMSTS
  • Strong building and construction knowledge
  • Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager
  • Strong subcontractor management experience
  • Confident attending meetings and dealing directly with clients
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of construction health & safety
  • Previous experience working within medical, healthcare or other live occupied environments would be highly advantageous
