Anglian Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Site Manager to join a major long-term project at a medical centre in the Hampstead area of North London. This is a construction-focused Site Manager position; however, candidates will need a good working knowledge of M&E services and be comfortable coordinating construction activities alongside M&E contractors. The project is currently programmed to run until February 2028, offering excellent long-term security, with the potential for the successful candidate to move into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day construction activities on site
- Coordinating and managing subcontractors and trades
- Monitoring programme, progress and quality of works
- Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures
- Attending and contributing to site and progress meetings
- Client-facing liaison and communication
- Coordinating construction works alongside M&E activities
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety
- Managing works within a busy, live medical environment
- Ensuring works are completed to programme and required quality standards
Requirements
- Valid SMSTS
- Strong building and construction knowledge
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager
- Strong subcontractor management experience
- Confident attending meetings and dealing directly with clients
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of construction health & safety
- Previous experience working within medical, healthcare or other live occupied environments would be highly advantageous
