Clerk of Works – (Fixed Term, 12 Months)
Locations: Site Locations Grantham & Byley (travel between sites will be required)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term
Anglian Recruitment are currently seeking a proactive and detail-driven Clerk of Works to oversee quality assurance within our client\’s precast concrete facilities. This is a key quality-focused position where you\’ll play an essential role in ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the fabrication of precast concrete structural panels, including insulated and brick-faced units, window installations, and MEP inserts, prior to delivery to site.
We are ideally looking for someone who lives locally and can travel between both factories as required, though separate candidates for each site will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular factory inspections to verify compliance with design drawings, specifications, and best practices.
- Participate in project setup and quality meetings, helping define and maintain QC requirements.
- Identify and document non-conformances and support corrective actions.
- Review and sign off QC inspection reports, ensuring all observations are closed out.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and report on quality performance.
- Collaborate with technical, façade, and commercial teams to monitor progress and assess production status.
- Liaise with subcontractors and project teams to maintain strong communication and uphold quality standards.
About You
- Proven background as a Clerk of Works, QA Inspector, or Site Engineer in precast, civils, or building construction.
- Strong understanding of precast concrete manufacturing and installation processes.
- Experience in risk management and quality control systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising between factory and project teams.
- Competent IT user (MS Office).
- Ideally based near Grantham or Byley, with the ability to travel between sites when required.
