An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing business within the construction and specialist access solutions sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and commercially minded individual to play a key role in growing market share, developing new client relationships, and securing profitable project opportunities across a range of sectors including construction, infrastructure, public sector and facilities management. The successful candidate will be joining a forward-thinking business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality specialist solutions across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, local authorities, and end users
  • Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • Prepare tailored proposals and quotations to meet client requirements
  • Work closely with internal operational and design teams to support successful delivery
  • Attend networking events, exhibitions and industry meetings
  • Maintain CRM records and provide regular sales reporting
  • Deliver excellent customer service and encourage repeat business

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience within a business development or sales role
  • Strong track record of generating new business and hitting targets
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self‑motivated and commercially driven
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience within construction, access solutions, safety products, or a related industry
  • Knowledge of tendering processes and frameworks
  • CRM experience

Package

  • Salary £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
