We are seeking an experienced, proactive and people-focused HR Business Partner to join our Senior HR Team on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering a progressive people strategy across a growing and ambitious Trust. You will work in close partnership with Headteachers, senior leaders and managers to provide expert HR support, influence strategic decision-making and ensure the effective management, development and wellbeing of our workforce. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about organisational development and employee engagement, and has strong experience managing complex employee relations matters and change programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with schools and leaders to deliver the Trust's people strategy and workforce plans
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, workforce planning, organisational change and employment law
- Support school improvement through effective people management and HR best practice
- Lead and manage complex employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, safeguarding and capability matters
- Act as the Trust lead for ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims
- Support workforce modernisation, restructuring, TUPE transfers and organisational change projects
- Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across the Trust
- Lead on pay, reward and annual pay review processes within your designated areas
- Develop and implement learning, development and apprenticeship strategies
- Support staff wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives
- Contribute to Trust-wide HR projects, policy development and strategic initiatives
- Support the implementation and development of digital HR systems and processes
- Deputise for the Head of HR Business Partnering and Operations when required
