The Role

We're looking for an experienced, accurate and detail-focused CAD Technician to join our design team at our Norwich head office. In this role, you'll produce high-quality technical drawings for bespoke, high-end residential projects. This will include preparing drawings for Local Authorities, utility companies, structural engineers and Building Control, while ensuring every design reflects surveying details and remains within manufacturing parameters. You'll work closely with Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Operations colleagues and management teams to resolve technical queries, keep work progressing and deliver drawings to demanding deadlines. This is an office-based position at our Norwich head office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings from surveying details and in line with manufacturing parameters.
  • Prepare technical drawings and supporting information for Local Authorities, utility companies, structural engineers and Building Control.
  • Maintain organised, efficient workflows and deliver work in line with agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Take ownership of technical queries, working with the surveying team and other colleagues to secure clear and timely resolutions.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Operations colleagues and management teams.
  • Complete tasks accurately within tight deadlines, balancing priorities in a busy environment.
  • Record, scan and upload relevant documentation accurately to company IT systems.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Has experience using SketchUp, although this is desirable rather than essential.
  • Can read and interpret engineering and technical drawings confidently.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
  • Is highly organised and able to manage priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Communicates clearly and works collaboratively with technical and operational colleagues.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office, Outlook, intranet systems and other IT applications.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary.
  • 31 days' holiday, including Bank Holidays, increasing to 33 days with service within two years.
  • An additional paid day off for your birthday.
  • Paid time off each year to volunteer.
  • Comprehensive health and well-being benefits, including access to in-house occupational health and well-being resources, discounted gym memberships, an employee assistance programme, mental health resources and digital GP services.
  • Heavily discounted employee purchase scheme across all Company products.
  • Group perks and discounts with major high street retailers, including food shopping, days out, cinema, theatre, dining and mobile phones.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
