This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring our products meet the highest quality and compliance standards across our manufacturing processes. The Role
As a Quality Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting products, auditing processes, and supporting continuous improvement across multiple production areas. You'll work closely with production teams to identify issues, reduce defects, and ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect glass, sealed units, windows, doors, and components to defined specifications
- Carry out audits across production lines and report any quality failures
- Ensure products meet company and regulatory standards before release
- Record inspection results accurately using company systems and documentation
- Support production teams in identifying and resolving recurring quality issues
- Maintain clear and organised quality records and audit documentation
- Promote and follow all health & safety and company procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect products to a high standard
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Experience working in a team environment
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
- Comfortable using measuring and testing equipment
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Desirable:
- Experience in a quality or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of engineering or production processes
- Understanding of Six Sigma / continuous improvement methods
- IT literacy and experience with quality systems
- Kaizen or improvement project experience
