We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically minded Technical Systems Coordinator to join our Technical Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong aptitude for technology, systems and data management who is keen to develop their career within a manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining product data, supporting technical systems and ensuring critical documentation remains accurate, up to date and easily accessible across the business.
As a Technical Systems Coordinator, you will provide technical support across the business by managing product information, maintaining configurator systems and supporting document control processes. Key responsibilities will include:
- Responding to requests for technical information from colleagues across the business.
- Maintaining and updating product data within the company configurator system.
- Reviewing product changes and obsolescence updates and implementing amendments where required.
- Supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of the product configurator.
- Producing and amending CAD drawings as required.
- Managing and controlling technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Keeping technical information and documentation on the company Intranet up to date.
- Supporting continuous improvement of technical systems and processes.
What We're Looking For
- Essential GCSE Maths and English.
- A Levels or T Levels in STEM-related subjects.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Word.
- Basic technical aptitude and the ability to understand technical concepts.
- Understanding of logical processes and Boolean operators such as AND, IF, THEN, WHEN, OR and NOT.
- Basic understanding of databases and SharePoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
Desirable
- Further education in Engineering or STEM disciplines.
- Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of technical drawings and 3D CAD software, ideally Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience creating manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
- Coding or programming experience.
- Database management experience.
- Knowledge of British Standards and Building Regulations.
- Experience managing shared inboxes or ticketing systems.
- Advanced IT skills and systems knowledge.
