Due to increased workload, Anglian Demolition & Asbestos Limited is recruiting for Demolition Supervisors on a permanent basis for various projects. As a Supervisor, you will be assisting the Contract Managers from the beginning to the end of contracting projects. You will be responsible for managing teams, working in line with site file requirements and method statements that Anglian provides to a high standard. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and problem solver able to support sites on a day-to-day basis with changes, along with having the capability of making your own amendments and decisions on site in conjunction with the contracts management to manage client expectations. You will ensure that the work is carried out in a methodical sequence efficiently, and more importantly, safely.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily supervision of site activities and motivation of site operatives / labourers
- Supervision and planning of workload for all the site teams
- Working to risk assessments and method statements
- Working to inspection and test plans
- Implementing health and safety procedures, undertaking safety inspections, and ensuring demolition site safety
- Complete all day-to-day site paperwork associated with the Supervisors role
- Liaising with the Contracts Management on a daily basis
- Carrying out daily / weekly reports, completion of toolbox talks, daily activity briefings, site diary and other relevant paperwork
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working as a Demolition Supervisor
- At least five years of experience within the demolition industry
- Strong work ethic
- Team player – able to work as part of a team and as an individual
- Willing to travel and stay away from home, as and when required
- CCDO Demolition Supervisor Card Gold Qualification – held for a minimum of two years
- Demolition Awareness NVQ
- SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
Pay Rate & Company Benefits:
- £20 per hour
