About The Role

This is not a traditional security role; it emphasizes excellent communication skills over previous security experience. We particularly encourage applications from women, who are underrepresented in the team. The Safety & Security Team is committed to building a diverse team whose role is to create a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of students, staff, and visitors, while also maintaining the security of buildings and assets. Your daily interactions will involve managing a variety of incidents with problem-solving skills, prioritizing safety and security.

We seek confident individuals with excellent communication skills, preferably with experience working with students or young adults. Knowledge of supporting individuals experiencing mental health difficulties is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality are essential.
