This role provides strategic leadership in education within the Faculty, working closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean to implement the Education Strategy and ensure alignment with ARU’s ambitions. In this role you will focus on promoting excellence and innovation in teaching, fostering active, inclusive, and collaborative learning across all disciplines.
You will lead the delivery of education priorities by coordinating the development and evaluation of high-impact teaching practices and promoting academic colleagues’ professional growth. Supporting our four Heads of School is also a key responsibility, helping them to translate strategy into practical, impactful actions including sustainable curriculum development and inclusive best practice.
You will contribute to university-wide initiatives as part of the Education Strategic Leadership Team. Working closely with the DVC Education, Degrees at Work and professional services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping institution-wide pedagogic innovation, raising educational standards and making a lasting impact on student learning and experience.
You will be expected to maintain a strong academic profile through teaching, research, and scholarship and will be a role model to early career researchers.
