About the Role

The UK Schools and Colleges Engagement team, based in the corporate marketing directorate, is recruiting for a Schools & Colleges Engagement Officer (HE Recruitment) on a fixed-term basis to help deliver our Student Recruitment strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑level, high‑quality customer service to stakeholders and partners.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver a variety of student recruitment events, including taster days, workshops, talks and presentations, to target audiences across our campuses and the East of England.
  • Develop, implement and maintain high‑quality working relationships between ARU and focus Sixth Forms and Colleges, organising logistics of on‑ and off‑campus visits.
  • Collect, handle and utilise data to demonstrate impact and reasoning, track against budgets, and build a strong network of colleagues within ARU and externally.
  • Represent ARU in a professional manner, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Maintain a designated geographical area: Essex and North/East London – 37 hours per week, 18‑month fixed‑term contract, based at our Chelmsford campus.

Qualifications

• Degree‑level qualification or part‑qualified in a relevant professional field, or equivalent experience.

• Highly organised, with experience working in a fast‑paced environment.

• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
