Team ARU operate within the Estates & Facilities professional service at ARU and are responsible for the provision of Sport and Physical Activity for Students, Staff and members of the local community. As part of this provision, we operate on-campus Sports Facilities including The Old Factory gym on our Chelmsford campus. This is an exciting role where you’ll be at the forefront of our service, engaging with customers on a daily basis. You’ll be part of the team who are responsible for ensuring that all gym users are made to feel welcome, supported and have an excellent experience when using the facility.
With a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and a range of GCSEs, you’ll have demonstrable experience of working in a gym environment as well as previous success in customer focussed roles and working as part of a team. This experience will mean you can demonstrate the ability to communicate with a range of customers, upsell products and memberships and confidently convey fitness knowledge and advice. Good interpersonal skills, competent IT skills and rigorous attention to detail are also essential qualities for the role.
