About ARU Police Education:

ARU are partnered with The Metropolitan Police and the Seven Police Forces in the Eastern Region - Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk - to train the Police Officers of the future. We are delivering two of the new Police Constable Entry Routes (PCER) programmes: the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and the Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) developed by the College of Policing.

This is a chance to be involved in shaping the Police Officers of the future and become part of an industry-leading team.

The PCER programmes aim to further professionalise policing as a career by both recognising and raising educational standards. New Police Constables will enrol with us on a three-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), which combines a degree programme with on-the-job training, while a two-year Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) will be available for new recruits who already have a degree. We deliver these programmes at our Police partners' training facilities alongside our police colleagues, and also at our dedicated Police Education facility in London.

About the role:

We are seeking an Academic Administrator to provide effective, efficient and customer-focused administrative support for the PCER programmes, ensuring the smooth delivery of academic and operational processes and supporting an excellent student experience.

This post will be located at our Chelmsford campus and is part time 30 hours per week.

Ideally with a degree, you will have two A-Levels or a Level 3 vocational qualification or will have significant administrative experience and evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role. You will have experience of developing and embedding digital learning resources, ideally in a Higher Education Setting. A knowledge and understanding of how the PCER programmes add value to the Police, Public Service and Higher Education Institutions would be desirable.

The ability to travel between police establishments and ARU campuses is required for roles within the ARU Police Education programmes.

Salary range: Β£26,707 to Β£30,378 p.a. pro rata
