This role joins the catering team at the new University for Peterborough, located at ARU. The successful candidate will assist the Assistant Catering Manager with the provision of food, beverage and hospitality services in a hospitality hub and in the Wirrina Café.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Assistant Catering Manager with food, beverage and hospitality services.
  • Providing catering for meetings and events.
  • Preparing simple food items for service.
  • Delivering food and beverages to meeting rooms.
  • Setting up for events and keeping the hospitality area clean.
  • Serving customers in the café and operating tills.
  • Maintaining a clean and attractive environment for customers.

Contract Details:

  • Full-time equivalent: 16 hours per week across 4 days (4 hours a day) on a 30-week term-time contract.
  • Café hours are 8:30–16:00 Monday–Friday.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, with advance notice.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate desirable.
  • Basic food preparation and till experience desirable.
  • Willingness to learn and receive full training.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus.
