About ARU Police Education

ARU is proud to be a key partner in training the next generation of Police Officers. We are currently looking for an Instructor in Police Education to join our London delivery team.

About the role

We work with colleagues across our Police Education provision, Babcock International, and the Metropolitan Police. You will be responsible for educating cohorts of Student Police Officers for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA). This is a vital role focused on the frontline of police education, ensuring that student officers have the academic and practical foundations required for a successful career in the capital.

Key Details

  • Instructor – £38,500 – £44,000 pro rata (including market supplement)
  • Fixed term contract: 12 months
  • Location: Elephant and Castle, London

Requirements

  • A minimum of a degree
  • A demonstrable willingness to work towards a higher degree
  • Professional experience of policing
  • Knowledge of the PCDA is desirable
  • Successful candidates will require Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) full clearance
  • The ability to travel between police establishments and ARU campuses is required
