SRE Engineer

Role: SRE Engineer
Location: London – one day per week
Length: 6 Months
Rate: Market Rates (inside IR35)

Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, deliver and run highly automated and secure cloud platforms in order to achieve fully autonomous and empowered engineering teams.
2. Promote a healthy SRE culture by providing expertise and help create secure by design products.
3. Implement state of the art secure code pipelines, to empower automation through all environments and minimize human effort.
4. Proactively collaborate across teams to share, advise and re-utilise best security practice and technology stack.

Skills:

1. Strong experience in SRE practice with knowledge of conducting security checks and mitigation (static and dynamic code analysis, SAST, DAST, IAST, vulnerability analysis / penetration tests, security component analysis).
2. Hands on experience with Azure DevOps is a must, including Repos, advanced pipelines and package management.
3. Must have knowledge in Azure Cloud and its solutions.
4. Hands on experience in IaC, JSON/YAML, Azure Bicep, Azure policies, Azure DevOps, Open Telemetry, Azure Monitoring, Azure Sentinel, Azure Defender, Grafana, Kusto queries, Kubernetes AKS, Azure ARC, BICEP, Azure function apps, Azure Synapse, PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, Dynamics 365, AzureML and MLflow.
5. Programming skills on PowerShell.
6. Knowledge on building and testing .NET and C# applications and APIs.
7. Experience on Cloud Networking Skills (TCP/IP, SSL, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, DNS), WAF, IPS/IDS, Azure FrontDoor.
