The role is an office‑based position leading a team of five and will be responsible for the whole finance function and continuous process improvements.
Key role responsibilities and duties:- Overall responsibility for overseeing the processing of sales and purchase ledger systems.
- Overall responsibility for overseeing general ledger transactions and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring month end close, monthly management accounts and variance analysis is achieved in a timely manner with no issues.
- Manage VAT, Statistical, Statutory and Government returns meeting strict timescales.
- Manage, review, and authorisation of bank payments.
- Acting as main point of contact with external auditors and ensuring strict timescales are met.
- Ensuring compliance with funding covenants.
- Managing daily cash flow and forecast business cash flow requirements.
- Invoice finance reconciliations and returns.
- Manage loan stock drawdowns.
- Preparing reports for submission and analysing monthly stock payments between stock classes where necessary.
- Overseeing the preparation of Hong Kong management and statutory accounts.
- Oversee all payroll administration functions.
- Fixed Asset management.
- Investigate, analyse, and comment on areas of expenditure where adherence to company policy is required.
- Supplier and customer visits, with potential for occasional overseas travel when required.
- Qualification in ACCA/CIMA and maintaining CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
- Experienced in managing a team and internal customers, excellent people skills required.
- Strong knowledge of VAT and Payroll compliance.
- Solid understanding of business and financial operations.
- Presentation skills to an audience up to fifty people required.
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative, within a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Highly organised with excellent analytical skills.
- Advanced level spreadsheet skills and PC literacy.
- Forward thinking, recommend system changes for speed, accuracy, and compliance requirements.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, whilst retaining an ability to flex and adapt where needed.
