ACES, founded in 2005, part of the Optical Express healthcare group, is an independent provider of NHS eye care services in the community. We support the NHS, whilst providing patients with the highest standards of clinical care from expert consultant ophthalmic surgeons. We are now seeking to recruit a Sales Director to drive the expansion of our group services across the East of England.

The successful candidate will become an important member of our senior management team and be able to demonstrate excellent business development and strong leadership skills, both within their division and company wide. The Sales Director will be responsible for a range of operational matters to include ensuring the highest standards of patient care are delivered and investment returns at each of the group clinics they oversee.

Our ideal candidate will already be working in a senior management role with a healthcare or ophthalmic business and have the ability to lead and motivate their team to achieve outstanding results.

Duties:

  • Responsible for providing operational direction and leadership for the division.
  • Ensure our clinics, including treatment centres provide safe, effective, caring and responsive best-in-class patient care in a high quality clinical environment.
  • Promote and safeguard the wellbeing of all patients and colleagues at all times.
  • Possess a strong commercial awareness and be able to demonstrate a track record of achieving targets.
  • Meet and exceed all financial objectives, operational targets and KPIs for their division.
  • Senior management experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
  • Proven leader with exceptional strategic planning abilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology and/or healthcare would be desirable.

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or be able to show an equivalent level of experience, have a good knowledge of HR procedures and a working knowledge of regulatory requirements.
