Job Description
Angiex is seeking a talented, creative, self-motivated cell biologist to join in the investigation of novel cellular pathways in endothelial cells and tumor cells and the discovery and design of drugs specific to those pathways.
The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in cell biology, cell signaling assays, cell culture, imaging, and intracellular trafficking, and ability to perform in vivo mouse studies.
Immunology or immuno-oncology expertise, or experience studying endothelial-leukocyte interactions, is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement biochemical approaches and technologies to establish the activity, mechanism of action, trafficking, and metabolism of candidate therapeutics both in cells in vitro and mice in vivo.
- Perform imaging studies using confocal microscopy, superresolution imaging, and electron microscopy.
- Characterize the potency and signaling activity of candidate therapeutics in vitro and support selection of candidates for in vivo efficacy studies.
- Develop and implement assays to evaluate molecular interaction networks in vitro and tissue specific cell signaling of candidate antibodies in vivo.
- Cure cancer.
Requirements
- Ph.
D. in biology, biochemistry, immunology, or a related discipline with substantial experience in wet-bench laboratory work and a strong record of accomplishment including a strong publication record.
- Experience in cell biology, especially in intracellular trafficking, microtubule biology, gene expression regulation, cell cycle, and apoptosis.
- Highly self-motivated, talented, and versatile candidate who can excel in a fast-paced and cooperative working environment, and who works with independent initiative yet in a team-oriented manner.
- Capable of building strong, intimate, cooperative relationships with peers within the firm and partners outside the firm, relationships characterized by honesty, transparency, humility, and integrity.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
