We’re working with a growing built-environment communications consultancy looking for an experienced Associate Director to join its London team. This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who understands the planning process and knows how to navigate complex political, community and stakeholder environments. You’ll provide strategic advice across major development projects while helping to grow accounts and support the wider team.

The role

  • Lead planning communications and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Advise clients on political, community and reputational considerations
  • Oversee public consultations and engagement programmes
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, local stakeholders and communities
  • Manage and develop junior consultants
  • Support new business activity and the continued growth of the London team

About you

You’ll already be operating at Associate Director level, or be an experienced Account Director ready to step up. You’ll need:

  • Strong planning communications experience within the built environment
  • A sound understanding of local government and the planning process
  • Experience advising developers and project teams on complex schemes
  • Excellent client leadership and strategic counsel skills
  • A commercial mindset and confidence contributing to business development
  • The ability to lead projects, manage teams and keep multiple workstreams moving
