Job Purpose
Support the senior buyer to manage an area of the business by selecting and managing product that aligns with the brand identity, customer demand and seasonal trends. The junior buyer will assist in sourcing, managing product ranges and sales analysis to deliver product ranges.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Buyer in planning and developing seasonal product ranges in line with brand strategy, trends, and customer demand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Assist with supplier communication, including requests for costings and negotiating, samples, and delivery updates.
- Monitor critical path timelines and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Analyse sales performance, bestsellers, and markdowns, preparing reports to support buying decisions.
- Support range reviews and post-season analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
- Maintain accurate product, pricing, and supplier data within buying systems.
- Work closely with merchandising, design, technical, and logistics teams to ensure smooth product flow.
- Ensure products meet quality, ethical, and sustainability standards.
- Assist with competitor and trend research, including store visits and market analysis.
