The Role
You will be operating our fleet of 3.5T recovery vehicles, responding to calls from stranded motorists, insurance companies, and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recover broken-down or accident-damaged cars, motorbikes and light vans.
- Safely load and secure vehicles onto the recovery truck.
- Provide roadside assistance where possible (jump starts, wheel changes).
- Recover vehicles from the roadside to dealerships, garages, and customer homes.
- Maintain a polite and professional attitude with customers who may be stressed.
- Complete vehicle condition reports accurately.
About You
This role is perfect for someone with good driving skills and basic mechanical knowledge who wants to enter the recovery industry.
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK Driving License (Category B). Min 1 Year
- Age 22+ (Required for fleet insurance purposes).
- No more than 6 penalty points.
- A friendly, "can-do" attitude and patience with customers.
- Basic mechanical knowledge (e.g., knowing how to change a wheel or jump-start a battery).
Desirable (but not essential):
- License Category B+E (Trailer towing entitlement).
- Previous experience driving large vans or flatbeds.
- Experience in the motor trade (mechanic, tire fitter, etc.).
