Angel Recovery Ltd is expanding, and we are looking for a skilled Mobile Tyre & Roadside Technician to join our team. While our recovery trucks tow vehicles away, you are the one who gets them back on the road right there and then. If you are a tyre fitter or mechanic who is tired of being stuck in the same workshop every day, this is your chance to get out on the road.

The Role

  • Roadside Tyre Fitting: Attend breakdowns to fit new tyres or repair punctures on cars and light commercial vehicles.
  • Minor Roadside Repairs: Perform jump starts, battery replacements, and bulb changes.
  • Lockouts: Gain non-destructive entry to vehicles (training can be provided).
  • Assessment: Quickly diagnose if a vehicle can be fixed roadside or if it requires a recovery truck.
  • Safety First: Set up a safe working zone on the roadside in compliance with REACT/PAS 43 standards.
  • Customer Service: Explain the issue to the customer and get them moving with a smile.

About You

You must be self-motivated, trustworthy, and take pride in your workmanship.

Essential Requirements

  • Tyre Fitting Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience (confident with run-flats and low-profile tyres).
  • Full UK Driving License: Clean or max 6 points.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of vehicle electrics/mechanics.
  • Reliability: Able to work independently without constant supervision.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • REACT Card (Roadside Emergency Action Concerning Technicians).
  • Experience with commercial/HGV tyres.
  • Level 2 or 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification.
