Are you ready to be the "Angel" on the road? Angel Recovery Ltd is looking for professional, skilled, and empathetic HGV Drivers to join our growing fleet. We don’t just move boxes; we help people. When a vehicle breaks down or an accident happens, our customers look to us for safety and solutions.
The Role
As a Recovery Driver for Angel Recovery, no two days are the same. You will be the face of our company, attending roadside breakdowns and accidents to recover vehicles ranging from cars and vans to commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV recovery vehicles (Slidebeds, Spec-lifts, or Heavy Recovery units) safely and efficiently.
- Attend breakdown sites, accidents, and compounds to recover vehicles.
- Provide reassurance and excellent customer service to stranded motorists.
- Perform basic roadside repairs (jump starts, wheel changes) where possible.
- Secure loads safely in compliance with industry regulations.
- Complete necessary digital or paper logs and condition reports.
About You
We are looking for drivers who remain calm under pressure and prioritize safety above all else.
Essential Requirements:
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) License (held for a minimum of 1 year).
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Mechanical knowledge/aptitude is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and flexible shift patterns.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous vehicle recovery experience.
- IMI mechanical certification or equivalent.
