Angel Recovery Ltd is a busy, fast-paced vehicle recovery and transport business operating 24/7. Our depots play a crucial role in keeping our fleet organised, secure, and road-ready. We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Day Yard Foreman to manage our N4 depot during daytime operating hours.
The Role
As the Day Yard Foreman, you will oversee the smooth running of the depot between 9am and 5pm. You will be responsible for maintaining yard organisation, supporting fleet readiness, assisting with tyre fitting and minor repairs, and ensuring all vehicles and equipment are properly logged and positioned. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone with tyre fitting experience and basic mechanical knowledge who enjoys working in an organised, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Tyre Fitting: Fit, repair, and balance tyres for fleet and customer vehicles.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs and routine checks (bulbs, fluids, batteries, etc.).
- Yard Management: Organise vehicle parking, manage incoming and outgoing recovered vehicles, and maintain a clean and orderly depot.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of vehicles on site, tools, and recovery equipment.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the depot operates safely and in line with company standards.
Requirements
- Proven tyre fitting experience (essential)
- Basic mechanical skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage daily depot activity
- Full UK Driving Licence (required to manoeuvre vehicles within the yard)
- Reliable and professional with strong attention to detail
