Location: Bridport, Beaminster, Lyme Regis, and the surrounding villages

Salary: ÂŁ13.00 to ÂŁ19.50 per hour & ÂŁ14.00 per hour for week day evenings & weekend shifts

Where you’ll be working: We’re a small company, not agency-run, and a CQC Good provider that ensures our carers work close to home. We serve the Bridport, Beaminster, Lyme Regis and the surrounding areas. Most visits are 45-60+ minutes, giving you time to do things properly and enjoy steadier rotas. Local routes are planned in advance in our Bridport office to minimise travel time and ensure our carers can deliver exceptional, on-time care. With our head office on hand, support is always local.

About the Role: Whether you’re experienced or new to social care, we’d love to hear from you. As a Health Care Assistant, you will:

  • Provide compassionate, person-centred care in clients’ homes
  • Support people to live as independently as possible
  • Empower clients to make their own decisions and choices
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding where required
  • Support with washing, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Administer medication (training provided)
  • Help with shopping and light domestic tasks
  • Accompany clients to appointments and outings
  • Provide companionship and emotional reassurance
  • Ensure clients’ safety, well-being, and comfort at all times
  • Use mobile technology to record and deliver quality care
  • Build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
  • Follow safe working practices and uphold Angel Carers’ values

A Day in the Life of a Home Care Assistant: No two days are ever the same – but every day is meaningful. You might start your morning helping a client prepare breakfast and enjoy a chat, then assist someone with their medication or a walk to the shops. Whether you’re offering companionship, supporting daily routines or simply being a reassuring presence, you’ll bring comfort, confidence, and companionship to those who need it most – helping them live safely and happily in their own homes.

About You: We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • A Full driving licence and access to a car are required for this role, but some walking routes are also available in Bridport
  • Right to work in the UK Essential – we are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship
  • No previous care experience necessary – We provide comprehensive, fully funded training
  • Willing to work alternating weekends
  • Self‐motivated, organised and reliable individuals
  • Genuinely passionate about helping others
  • Good people skills and the ability to show strong empathy, with a caring and compassionate nature
  • A good listener with a warm personality

What We Offer: Competitive pay: £13.00-£19.50/hour. We pay £14.00 per hour on weekday evenings and all weekends. Paid Drive – Time.
