You will need to have an eye for trends, concepts, key shapes, colour, graphics and develop bestselling ranges with the brand profile in mind at all times. It's imperative to be organised and have strong CAD skills, with the ability to multi-task. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing multi-product seasonal ranges, creating high-quality, on-trend garments and graphics that align with the brand's aesthetic and exceed customer expectations. This role requires a deep understanding of boyswear design, construction and fabrication alongside the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Creating original and commercial designs for our boyswear brand, covering the entire range - consisting of multi-product categories from jersey & sweat, through to knitwear, outerwear etc.
  • Design unique graphics and prints and to develop and improve print methods with suppliers.
  • Participate in the planning and development of seasonal collections.
  • Ensuring collections are on-brand, trend-forward and commercially viable.
  • Supporting the Head of Design to ensure critical path deadlines are met from creative concept to completion.
  • Source, develop and select high-quality fabrics that meet design and production requirements.
  • Creating seasonally appropriate colour palettes.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of current and future trends in boyswear/menswear.
  • Produce detailed technical specifications and sketches.
  • Conduct fit sessions and sample reviews with technical team.
  • Presenting collections to senior management.
  • Analyse market/sales data and consumer feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Constant communication and relationship building with factories, mills and in-country teams.

Person Specifications:

  • At least 2-3 years experience at a 'junior Designer' Level within boys clothing.
  • Proven track record of designing successful and commercially viable collections.
  • High work ethic, integrity and reliability with a "hands on" attitude.
  • Excellent technical drawing and sketching skills.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a passion for developing trend-led designs.
  • Highly proficient in CAD software (e.g. Adobe Suite).
  • Good knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and production processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of designing graphics and/or print would be a bonus.
  • Creative yet commercial with a fashion forward handwriting.
