Help shape how we use data to make better business decisions.

At Angel Advance, we believe better decisions come from better insight.

Every day we collect valuable information across our customer journey—from marketing and online applications through to debt advice, customer service and payments.

This is a hybrid role based at our Birchwood office. You’ll initially work from the office while you get to know the business, with the option to work from home up to 2 days per week thereafter.

Please only apply if you are able to commute to our Birchwood, Warrington office at least 3 days per week.

We're now looking for a Business Insights Analyst to help us unlock the full value of that data.

This is a brand-new role and an exciting opportunity to help shape how data is used across the business.

Reporting into our CEO and working closely with the Directors and Department Managers, you'll identify opportunities, answer key business questions and provide insight that improves customer outcomes, operational performance and commercial growth.

If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems and want to make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.

About Angel Advance

Angel Advance is one of the UK's leading Debt Management providers, helping thousands of customers every year regain control of their finances.

Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), we continue to invest in technology, automation and AI to improve both customer outcomes and operational efficiency.

This role forms part of our long‑term strategy to become a truly data‑led business.

What you'll be doing

Working across the business, you'll turn data into insight that helps us understand what's happening, why it's happening and where we can improve. You'll challenge assumptions and make clear, actionable recommendations.

Analysing customer behaviour across the journey to identify trends, patterns, opportunities and areas of concern.

  • Investigating why customers engage, disengage and stop making payments.
  • Analysing marketing performance, customer acquisition and conversion.
  • Supporting A/B testing and analysing changes to understand their impact on customer behaviour and business performance.
  • Supporting Consumer Duty monitoring and customer outcome analysis.
  • Working with managers to understand performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Identifying gaps or inconsistencies in data and working with internal teams to improve the information available for analysis.
  • Using insight to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and AI.
  • Turning analysis into clear, actionable recommendations and presenting findings to senior management.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious and doesn't stop at what the numbers say. You'll want to understand why something is happening, what's driving it and what we should do differently as a result.

You'll naturally ask questions like:

  • Why is this happening?
  • What's driving this trend?
  • What is the data telling us?
  • What could we do differently?

You’ll ideally have

  • Experience analysing customer, operational or commercial data to identify trends and provide actionable insight.
  • Experience taking an ambiguous business question and determining what analysis is needed to answer it.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Confidence challenging assumptions and asking questions of stakeholders at all levels.
  • A genuine curiosity and desire to improve business performance.

A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field is preferred but equivalent practical experience is valued

At least 2 years' experience in an analytical or insight-focused role, such as Insights Analyst, Data Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Financial Analyst. Experience within financial services, fintech or another data‑led commercial environment would be advantageous.

What we offer

  • Salary £45,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience.
  • Company pension.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Ongoing learning and development.

Why join Angel Advance?

You'll join us at a point where we're investing significantly in how we use data, technology, automation and AI. As a new role within the business, you'll have the opportunity to shape how insight is used rather than simply inherit an established reporting process.

Working directly with the CEO, Directors and Department Managers, your analysis will have a visible influence on customer outcomes, operational performance and future business decisions.

If you're looking for a role where your work genuinely makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
