Angard Staffing is recruiting experienced and motivated individuals to join our team as Temporary Shift Managers with Royal Mail.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading operational teams and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day activities within the Atherstone site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support operational teams to achieve productivity and performance targets.




• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational procedures.




• Monitor staffing levels, attendance, and workflow across the shift.




• Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational priorities clearly.




• Manage operational challenges and implement effective solutions.




• Support employee engagement, coaching, and performance management.




• Produce operational reports and maintain accurate records.




• Work closely with other managers and stakeholders to optimise performance.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience in a supervisory or management role.




• Demonstrates strong leadership and people-management skills.




• Has excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

• Has experience within logistics, warehousing, mail, parcels, or a similar environment (desirable).

Pay & Shifts

The table below outlines the pay rates applicable for Team Manager roles within our Mail Centres and Parcel Hubs. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met. Rates may be subject to change during busy periods. Angard Staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance. Typical shift patterns and pay:

• Morning Shift 06:00–14:00 £15.60




• Afternoon Shift 14:00–22:00 £15.60




• Night Shift 22:00–06:00 £16.86




• Overtime (Over 40 hours) Mon–Sun £17.33




• Bank Holidays All Day £20.59

Important Information

This role is for the Christmas period. Assignments are temporary and will automatically end when the site closes for the Christmas season. The anticipated closing date is 18th December 2026, although this may be subject to change.
