What We’re Looking For
- Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
- Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
- Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.
Your Role
As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You’ll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely. This role is more than just a job; it’s a vital service at the heart of every neighbourhood. If you take pride in your work and are happy to work flexibly, we want to hear from you.
Important to Know
While large parts of the role involve walking, driving a Royal Mail delivery van is also a key requirement. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day. Please note: you’ll be required to pass a driving assessment when you start.
Pay & Shifts
The following rates apply for roles within our Delivery Offices:
- Day Shift – Starts and finishes between 05:31 – 19:59 – Pay Rate: £13.07.
- Early – Starts between 05:01 – 05:30 – Pay Rate: £13.96.
- Evening – Finishes between 20:00 – 21:39 – Pay Rate: £13.74.
- Lates – Finishes between 21:40 – 01:59 – Pay Rate: £14.48.
- Overtime (Over 40 hours) – Monday to Sunday – Pay Rate: £16.33.
- Bank Holidays – All Day – Pay Rate: £19.59.
Rates could be subject to change during busy periods; Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance. (Full rate card with all shift breakdowns will be received on application)
